We have all been a little under the weather in our house since Christmas. We have some sort of viral thing making it’s way through the family and by New Year’s Eve, Pat and I were really starting to feel it.
It was one of the most low key New Year’s/Anniversaries we have celebrated, but it was nice to be at home with the kids!
I pulled out some of our hats, horns, and beads, thinking that the girls would get a kick out of them. Sarah of course loved the loud horns and continued to blow them until we took them away from her and told her she needed to save them until later that night.
Reagan on the other hand, hated the hats and horns, but loved the silver beads!!!
It’s funny how the simplest things like, paper, boxes, beads, can amuse a little one for so long.
I am not big on resolutions, but I do try to set up goals for myself. Last year a majority of my focus was on our adoption and since that is now officially complete, I have spent the last few weeks trying to change gears and figure out what my focus is going to be for 2011.
Obviously, I am going to continue to concentrate on our new family of five and enjoy every moment, but I need some sort of goal. Something new, something fun, and something that I feel can feel good about…….something that might make a difference!
The last two and a half years, this blog has been my link to a whole new world and it has connected me to many wonderful people and adoption organizations.
It is through one of these connections, that I have found the link to my new direction and new focus for 2011.
The wheels are still turning and there are a few details that need to be ironed out… but as soon as they are, I will be sharing here with you!
Excited doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel about this decision!
I love a new challenge and am definitely feeling up to this one:)
Happy New Year to you and yours!
Hope your 2011 is off to a great start!
