Picking Up Speed…..

I am feeling a little less stress about the party and am getting a little bounce back in my step….must be the caffeine…..I got a lot organized last night. We got multiple phone calls from friends and family, asking what they could bring to the party…..Thanks guys….you are awesome…..so now the menu is pretty much worked out!

Did I ever tell you all how much I love Tar.get……..I was in and out in one fowl swoop and got all the non food items on my list! Got some cool games and sidewalk chalk to keep the kids occupied in the yard, little flags to line some of the flower beds……gotta make it festive….all paper products, 4th of July citronella candles, straws, toothpicks, and stirrers for drinks. I honestly think I made it out of there with everything that I needed…….

Pat is handling the liquids and I will make the final list for the food items….it is coming together……whewww!

On to other things……I was tagged again for the 6 words……this one just keeps going and going!

This time I was tagged by Lisa at Our Family. Since I just did this last week, I will give you 6 more words, but I will hold the torch instead of passing it….OK? This kind of reminds me of that commercial…..where they try to connect the actors through the movies that they played in……Does anyone remember that?

I could add these 6 words to the other two that I posted HERE:

“Wear My Heart On My Sleeve”

That is me…..I am an open book.

Alrighty…I am tapped out on my 6 words!

Look below to see some of the goodies I found today………..you know I have to post some sort of picture!

  • Briana's Mom - Look at all that fun stuff!ReplyCancel

  • EllieNat - We live on a small Island off of San Diego, THere is a joke in town that 4th of july is bigger than Christmas here! There are ALL day festivities, and we all have a wonderful (patriotic) day. We too are having friends over for a gettogether. I hadn’t thought of doing a Target run for decorations, Thanks for the idea!

    Have a wonderful pary!ReplyCancel

  • Michaela - Look at the loot! Your Target seems to have a better selection than ours. I actually went to the Dollar Store for our decorations and was able to snag up some nice staff before they were picked over. I also went to Target, Kohls and IKEA (found a red/white/blue outdoor throw rug for the deck). One stop shopping doesn’t happen to me :-(
    Best wishes,

  • Lili - Target is my fav store in the world. Would U believe I HAVE NOT been yet since we moved!!! I am going to try to go today….will look for some of those cute flags you got. We are having a 5th of July COOK out tomorrow.

my guess for the wait: very end of 2009, only because I don’t want it to go omto 2010. I am not pleased about this wait business at the moment!

well, have a great party..and happy 4th to you and your family!ReplyCancel
